Individual Talk Therapy

Individual therapy, also referred to as talk therapy, is a form of treatment in which the client meets one-on-one with a therapist. You will work individually and privately with a therapist at Turning Point to help you heal from your experiences of child sexual abuse. You will always experience professionalism and confidentiality in a caring atmosphere. Specific treatment goals and length of therapy will be determined between the client and their therapist.

Group Talk Therapy

Adult Women Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse Support Group
is a confidential group for women who have experienced sexual abuse as children. The purpose of the group is to help the participants know that they are not alone, they are not broken, and they can heal. The group will provide structure, support, and a feeling of safety. The purpose of this group is to provide education, validation, and encouragement. Each group member may participate and share to the level at which she feels comfortable.

* To enroll client in this modality of therapy he/she must be under the care of an individual clinician. Outside professional referrals accepted.

Group Art Therapy

Group Art Therapy provides the opportunity to use the creative process of making art among individuals with similar needs in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. Group members can provide mutual support in a non-judgmental manner that can promote personal development and increased coping skills.

Group Music Therapy

Group Music Therapy provides the opportunity to use music interventions among individuals with
similar needs in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. Common interventions include: song
writing, group singing, music and movement, music and art, music and relaxation, music and imagery,
toning, group singing, improvisation, and lyric discussion. Each group member is welcomed and
supported, and is invited to participate up to their comfort level. Creating a musical space within a
group has the potential for exploration, creativity, discovery, and healing.

Individual Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Therapy

Explore Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TSY) as a way to help reconnect with your body in a safe and deliberate way. This form of yoga, facilitated in a private, supportive, and non-judgmental environment, offers the opportunity to notice what you feel in your body and to practice making choices with your body based on what you feel. Through optional movements and awareness of breathing, TSY provides an invitation to engage your body in your journey toward healing. No experience necessary.

Individual Music Therapy

Music Therapy is an evidence-based therapy that uses a variety of music interventions to accomplish
individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship. Goals are determined through an on-going
assessment discussed between the therapist and client. Individual music therapy is a form of expressive
therapy that uses both instrumental and vocal techniques and the therapeutic relationship to help
express thoughts and feelings in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. Interventions
